We're Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT!

Our class is ready for a cool down!! This past week has had us inside for the majority of the day. I'm looking forward to getting out to play fun P.E. games and just to RUN in the SUN. Even after the sun goes down I find myself hiding in the a.c. Always thought I was a summer girl-but I'm choosing Fall this year!

I love our class! What a great group of students and parents! Looking forward to seeing everyone at Back-to-School Night, Tuesday, September 23rd at 6:45pm.

Did you know...Fossil Fuels are nonrenewable? Today's Daily 5 Science lesson captivated the students and teachers alike! We learned A LOT just completing the first two stations of Daily 5 Science. I can't wait to really dive into Next Generation Science Standards! Students are going to start impressing their families with all that is learned in P-6!

Parents!
Your first homework assignment came home this afternoon. Please take 10-15 minutes to review your child's first day of school- take a look at the planner, initial at the bottom-EVERY night, and fill out ALL Important Documents in the Orange RoadRunner Folder. Join PTA-TODAY- Please, please, please!

Your student will have his/her first "official" assignment sent home tomorrow- "What Makes You Happy" will be explained on a half-sheet of paper and sent home in the Orange RoadRunner Folder. This first assignment is due: Monday, September 8th

1st Day in P-6

What an exciting & fun day! I know this is going to be a great year because the day went by way to quick. It was reassuring to see familiar faces- now top dogs- welcome back 5th Graders and to see excited and surprised 4th Graders!

Don't worry about my embarrassing moments; (we all sweat, especially healthy peeps!) Hand held pencil sharpeners are scary, and I love to sing and dance!

Please see our suggested supply list at: Mrs. Armstrong's Web Page

A Must Read

Just finished reading Wonder, you can borrow my copy, but a copy of your own is definitely worth having on your shelf to read over and over again. Thank you-Sandy Patterson from Soaring through Second who shared.
